Kual stopped working

From the Kindle menu, I usually start Koreader by clicking on Kual.

Now this action opens a small screen in French (bear with me)

Erreur
Les autorisations necessaires pour ouvrir cet element ont expire. Veuillez contacter le developpeur.

In short: permissions for opening Kual are terminated. Contact its developer.

It's a Kindle PW3, version 5.7.4.
Though it's a wifi kindle, wifi stopped working one year ago after a fall. So I can only access the Kindle folder through USB.

Question

How could I give back to Kual the authorization it needs?

Hi,
Face exactly the same issue after years of use & kindle in plane mode. Try to reinstall KUAL & KOReader w/o success.
Any Idea ?

Go to Snapshots thread by NiLuJe over on Kindle Dev Corner on MobileRead and update mkk bin and KUAL bin. It is somewhere in the last 2-3 pages, look for post by NiLuJe
