Battery problem Clara BW.

I have some problems with my Clara BW. Unfortunately periodic. Sometimes the battery simply looses its charge very quickly. I have registered a fall from 100% to 56% in less than a day, without using the reader. Wifi is off.
Any ideas?
I am considering to return it, it is only one month old.
What is the best way to deregister it? Is a signout all I need to do?
I am really pleased with the reader. Excellent screen.

I had an issue like this with my Libra 2, and it turned out to be the official Sleep Cover. Either the Sleep cover was preventing sleep, or it was continually re-waking and re-sleeping the reader.

Try turning off "wake/sleep with cover" and seeing if the problem goes away.

Thank you for your replies. For the time being the reader behaves as expected, and I will keep it. I will simply check the battery level more often.
I will try your suggestions if the problem reappears.

It happens. My Clara did that last night: was nearly charged, but when I next turned it on, it said "need to charge". Software bug I assume. This has happened several times before, and I always forget whether it requires rebooting, or if it just goes away on its own.

My Clara has now been stable for more than one month. Software version is 4.41.23145.
I can't remember if I have done an update.

Edit: I have the Kobo Sleep Cover.
