Book Designer 5.0 - How to force a page break
I have installed Book Designer 5.0 and have had very good results in converting and formatting books for my Sony PRS-500 and 505. However, there have been instances where I wanted to force a "page break" but have not been able to find out how to do this from the User Guide instructions or the "help" notes in the program itself.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this? Thanks. Fred

In the Book Corrector (Tools / Book Corrector); there are page break buttons near the bottom of the left hand column.

Short form: The fourth button from the bottom on the first row of the Corrector toolbar is the Page Break button. Position the cursor in the desired place, and press it.

While ^X will insert a user page break in the text, User Page Breaks must also be turned on. The check box for this is is on the options tab of the Make eBooks|Sony Reader from the main menu.

Be sure to check out the BD Best Practices. There is a link at the bottom of the Conversion Tools in the MR Wiki.

Many thanks to all who responded to my question. Especially to RWood who suggested going to the "Options" menu and placing a checkmark in the "User page-break" block. That did the job for me. This is a great forum. Fred
