Or else be very good at LO Writer or MS Word styles, import a docx to Calibre.
However you'll probably need to edit the CSS for any images. Calibre does have an editor, but Sigil is more specific to ebook creation if you can't do it with wordprocessor paragraph styles. |

Jon Duckett wrote a good book covering both that would serve as a good refresher. Just be aware that not everything is supported in ebooks, so odds are there are things in there that won't apply.

For HTML and CSS (geared for web development, but still) you will find a lot of tutorials, training modules and complete up-to-date references here:

To some extent, yes to make a professional quality epub. You can learn by doing. Start simple. Check out many of the free MR epubs posted here, etc.
If these are just for your personal library, then you can do the bulk of the formatting in a word processor using styles and convert that to epub to start. |

Why do you pretend you're the decider of where things belong?
We'll decide when things need to moved, Jon. Not you. Next time, instead of making moderator-like comments in threads, consider just reporting them instead. If the moderators agree with you, it will be moved. If they don't, then they didn't, and you need to let it go. Last edited by DiapDealer; 05-17-2022 at 09:51 AM. |

Go to www.mobileread.com and select the E-Books menu near the top and choose your format:
For epub it takes you here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/eb...hp?forumid=130 And another good place for examples is: https://standardebooks.org/ Last edited by KevinH; 05-17-2022 at 02:09 PM. |
