Adding empty book when syncing from Goodreads

I wasn't sure where to put this thread, hope this is correct.

I'm using the goodreads plugin to sync some shelves ex. TBR 2022. When I do some of the books on the shelf are not in calibre yet. How do I get it to add the empty book to calibre automatically?

Also can anyone link me to tutorials on how to initially set up calibre and or plugins? Ive found a few places, but the tuts are really old and some don't apply anymore. The plugin area here is great, but the instructions are sometimes hard to follow or don't have enough information.
