Kindle Paperwhite 4 (10e generation) Jailbreak
Hello community,
I've followed the thread which describe how to jailbreak my Kindle (5.13.7) and I'm pretty convinced that it has been successful as during the latest restart of the device I saw on the screen a few text lines talking about jailbreak. I'm strugling now on how to instal KUAL and have access to other hacks. I've copied everything (MRInstaller folder & KULA.cfg) in the extension folder, KUAL-KDK-2.0.azw2 in the document folder but no new document shows up on my Kindle library. I was wondering to be able to read epub without any translation, change the screensavers, use a wider range of fonts... Any idea of what I'm doing wrong ? Regards, BigBob PS : BTW, how to check if my Kindle is really jailbroken ? |

Make sure you are using the coplate version of KUAL from the snapshot thread here:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=225030 Copy the contents of MRPI to the root of your Kindle. Then copy the bin file from the KUAL package into the "mrpackages" folder. Now eject your Kindle. Type ";log mrpi" into the search bar in your Kindle and KUAL will begin installing. |

Hello,
Thanks a lot. It has worked fine. I have KUAL up and running now ! Is there a link where I could see what kind of package I can install through KUAL ? I've tried to change screensavers by installing a package. I saw the installation process running, I've got the folders about the screen saver, I've put a bunch of png in the dedicated folder but nothing change. I must be dumb ! BigBob |
