Finding books with author's name in the publisher field

I have books in my library where the author's name is in the publisher field. I think it's a self-publishing thing.

To make things trickier, sometimes it's not an exact match. For example, if the author's name is Foo Bar, the publisher field may be F. Bar.

What would be the best way to track these down in my library? Template search, perhaps, or a plugin?
