I don't see cbr files.
I copied the cbr files to my kobo aura one in the root folder. How can I view them? At the moment I have not succeeded. I don't even find them in "my books".
Thanks Last edited by gillesit; 05-08-2022 at 04:05 PM. |

How did you copy them there? Be aware that putting files into the root directory of a FAT32 volume is generally considered a bad idea. After you copied the files and safely ejected your Kobo, did the import screen come up?

Also are they actually CBR (ie RAR compressed) or misnamed CBZ (ZIP compressed)

To transfer the files I use a pc with windows 10 and they are rar renamed in cbr, compressed with winrar. I see the update screen and I thought I could find them in my books, but here are only the epubs that I transfer with calibre.

Did you use calibre to transfer your books? When you add a book to calibre, it will convert the zip file to cbz automatically. The only time it does not convert is when the zip contains a mix of picture files and non-picture files. The's when I realize I need to delete that non-picture file before re-adding calibre. After that, I transfer CBZ to my calibrated device.

Fixed the problem, the archive also contained some png files in addition to jpg. Converted png files to jpg, recreated the rar archive, renamed to cbr and copied to the kobo aura one. Now the cbr files are correctly displayed.

I was going to suggest that you check the CBR files to makes sure they’re formatted with the right files, but you already solved your problem! Glad you got it sorted out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
