Talking Really appreciating Koreader

Hey I'd just like to let the devs know how much I'm appreciating using Koreader since I explored more of its features and made my workflow easier with gestures.

It deals with PDFs in particular far better than the stock firmware.

Today I noticed it even does word searches much better.

I found it a little irritating at first
(mainly the fact that my habitual tendency to touch the screen would so often lead to page turns or menus popping up)
but now I can honestly say I am enjoying it and look forward to using it.

Thanks Kosters!

Word searches much better? I always thought that was fairly basic, cool!

I don't read PDFs, but have been living in KOReader for the last 18 months or so. I've been impressed by what I've read about the very latest Kobo firmware, so I'm going to give it a try with my last half dozen purchases as downloaded kepubs. I'll be sure to compare the word search in it versus KOReader when I return to my main library of sideloaded epubs.

Word search outside the boundaries of the current chapter (to be precise outside the boundaries of the current xml file) should be faster in KO. Not because the search itself but because nickel has to render the file while crengine already did the job.

TBH I've so far found the default OS text search (in "Nickel"?) quite slow.

If you were a student or lawyer it would be barely usable.
(Unless you also happen to be a saint...with lots of spare time! )
