I am getting the strangest errors today - never happened before.
First I thought it was one thing - I get a constraint error trying to use "D. K. Publishing" as the Author Name. That was odd enough. And annoying. Then I got a similar error - for a tag - for the tag "sex." That was not permitted. Now I get the author name error - for "Mike Smith." What in the world is going on? This is on 5.39 |

UPDATE:
It only gets worse and more puzzling and frustrating. Now I am getting this one: apsw.ConstraintError: ConstraintError: Foreign key violation: authors is still referenced I have no idea what it is referring to - or what to change to get the entry to submit. It's not the tags now, nor the author. And there are no foreign characters - so I have no idea what this is doing. |

And now this is happening on multiple books - after I download the metadata.

Now it is happening with every single book!!!
But if I cancel - and it says it will lose all the data - it retains the downloaded author. But nothing else. If I then re-download the metadata a second time - it accepts it all. |

Now its back to doing this for tags. I literally tried to add the following tags to a book already with downloaded metadata.
The added Tag is "Cats" - earlier it did this with "Sex" - I changed it to something else (even though it was a guide to the Kama Sutra - and that worked. This time - nothing I put into the tag form will work. Not even "Cats." IIRC there was a plugin that screened for 'naughty' (PG) words. It may be failing the new Python.
What PI do you have installed? There is a RESTART option on Preferences to start Calibre wit all PI disabled (for basic testing) |

Tried that too. But what worked - was restarting whole computer. Restarting the program itself wouldn't do it.
