Send content from URL to kindle

Ok, so suppose I'm reading a page online on my phone/laptop and decide I want to read it on my kindle. What's the easiest way of making this happen? I know the kindle has a browser but I'd have to type in the url. I've configured calibre to email stuff to my kindle, and i know that you can configure recipes which need .rss but support there's no .rss for a page. Suppose calibre is running on a server on my network. Is there some way of sending calibre a url and say either "grab this, produce a file and email that file to the kindle" or just "send this url to the kindle to open in the browser"? I expect the email thing requires content so perhaps the first option is the most sensible one.

No calibre does not have "convert arbitrary url to ebook" functionality. there are some browser extensions that do this, with varying levels of success.

The problem with that is I use Firefox/Android, which has about 11 extension!

Would it be worth/possible extending Calibre's recipe/newsfeed functionality to produce and email a normal url rather than a .rss url?

Not something I am interested in, but patches are most welcome.

Firefox Extension Push To Kindle does a pretty good job for web articles; usually includes all of the content and graphics in readable layout.
