Forma Forma Support WPA3?

I thought that looking at the Kobo site would give me this answer. But, I've failed to find it. Does anyone know if the Forma supports WPA3?

Since WPA3 didn't become required for new devices until 2020, and since Kobo has apparently opted for the lowest cost WiFi solutions possible, I'd say no.

Are there routers or access points with WPA3 only?? Seems to me that all devices have the option "WPA2+WPA3" combined, not separated?

I've just ordered a new wireless access point and it'll do pure WPA3 along with the WPA2+WPA3 combination. I was just wondering if I could set it to pure WPA3 since my other devices (android phones) will/ought handle it. I guess I'll just have to try it when the WAP gets here. My guess is the same as JAC70's guess, though. If they supported it, I'd say they'd be advertising it somewhere.

Do the various WPA levels require hardware support? I was under the impression that updated firmware would handle it.

Depends on the chip in the device. Some chips support both WPA variants, some are restricted to WPA2. Maybe the Forma is too old for WPA3?

I got my new wireless access point today. When I actually logged in on my Kobo, there's was some text in the dialog saying "WPA/WPA2 password" (I should have tried that earlier). So, it looks like the Forma supports just those and not WPA3. I left the AP in WPA2+WPA3 mode and all is well.

EDIT: I also went to Settings > Wi Fi Connection > Join a Wi Fi Network and at the bottom chose Add Network. There's a dropdown there specifying exactly what security the Kobo will accept: Open, WEP, WPA/WPA2 and 802.1x EAP.
