Which plugin supplies the isbn?

I was wondering which plugin provides an isbn since Amazon gives the asin unless otherwise noted.

Edit:checked the plugin and found that I had unchecked the mobi-asin option.

Extract ISBN, so long as the ISBN is listed somewhere in the eBook.

The real Q is which sites SUPPLY ISBN.
Calibre tries to get that from the book when adding.

BTW Not all books HAVE ISBN. That cost $ that new self publishers may not want to shell out. It all depends on the method of sales and their requirements.
(the reason some books have TWO EAN bar codes. One is the ISBN, the other is just the publishers ID and the price . The latter does not need PLU maintenance for ever title, which allows Jobbers to stock the book/magazine racks in big chains. )

+1 on the extract ISBN PI. It tries to find ANY ISBN (it could be for other titles, if that data is in the first few pages ).
You need to vet every find. ( this is not a task I would do in bulk)

I was asking because I DON'T want the isbn supplied. In the Goodreads Sync plugin it uses the isbn to match the book. I would prefer that the isbn not be used and the ASIN be used otherwise. I know that this is a Goodreads Sync question, but I read on the site that they really aren't working on the plugin.

I belive it is either Amazon or Goodreads that provides the isbn because I have narrowed it down to those plugins.

If you don't like how Goodreads Sync matches the books, don't use it for that. The rest of the plugin uses the Goodread identifier. The only point where the ISBN is used is in "Link to Goodreads" function. If that is not producing the result you want, then don't use it. It might be used in "Sync from shelves" to attempt to match books that don't have a Goodreads ID, but, that would be the correct behaviour as you had the same ISBN for the book in two different places.

The Goodreads metadata source plugin will get the ASIN or the ISBN depending on what is there for the book matched.

But, reading this, I don't think you have actually asked the right question. Or at least, I don't know what you are actually trying to do. As you mention ASIN's, I wonder if what you want is to know how to make sure that the ASIN and ISBN are for the same edition of the book. If that is the case, I don't think you can. I'm pretty sure that on GR, a book cannot have both an ASIN and an ISBN.
