Episodes / Serie not detected ?

Hello,
I've got 5 epubs of the same serie. Book 1 and 2 are not detected as episode 1 and 2 but 3, 4 and 5 are. The pb is that according Calibre, everything is correct. Is this any way to fix this ?

Add that info yourself to the Library, then Polish.

EPUB2 does not have a standard for series.
Your book may have been EPUB3 or someone touched the file (above process) and that embedded Calibre Series info.

And, where are the books not being detected as in a series? This is the editor section, which does not have any series handling it, so that confuses me. But, is the series not detected when:

Adding the book to calibre - if so, see @theducks reply.
Doing a metadata download - We need to know details of the book and the metadata sources you are using.
On the Kobo device - which needs the series info in the library, which means that one of the above has worked. And things to be configured correctly.
Somewhere else?

Hello,

I made some copies / pastes from those with correct series data and those without (from the metadata). It fixed the pb. I understand, according the metadata content that it was complex. May be a "cleaner" extension exists ?
