Ording the columns in edit metadata change

I noticed that the change the order of the columns in edit metadata was moved to preferences and taken out of tweaks.

Is there a way I can copy over that list from my tweaks page?

It was formated perfectly, and now it is weird. I don't know how it was copied over or what, but columns are not where they should be.

I have too many columns to try and figure it out again from scratch.

There has to be a way of making this go back to the way it was. I had my columns set up perfectly so that every library was organized. Now I am supposed to manually redo each one? Seriously? How am I going to do this? How is it that only one of my libraries is fixed but the others' aren't?

As I said here, I made no attempt to migrate the column order tweak.

The tweak value is still there. Look for "metadata_edit_custom_column_order" in the plugin tweaks section.

Thank you, I'll check again as, as usual for me, I haven't found it. And I hadn't seen that post, sorry.

Thank you, the name of the tweak... and checking inside the plugin tweaks

helped. I'm changing it and, as it is per library, it's more useful now.

Not trying to be snarky but it means what it says.

Trying again: The first time an option-supporting version of calibre (version of calibre with the new options: a beta, run from source, a release) is run the tweaks are copied to the options (except the column order tweak, as discussed above). That (copy/import/migration) doesn't happen again even if you (subsequently back up to a non-option-supporting version of calibre and) change the tweaks."

I added the ability to export and import the column list. The changes are in source.
