is it possible to run this audio package on Kindle First generation

i've been trying to build this package https://github.com/danfrz/PLEBTracker on my desktop OSX 10.13 but I broke something with homebrew, I think ruby. Either way, I can't seem to build it.

It uses
ncurses (ncurses)
fftw3 (fftw)
aplay (alsa-utils)
inotifywait (inotify-tools)
sudo (sudo)

so I figured the only library that might pose problems could be alsa-utils as I haven't seen anything related to it and kindles.

So what I'm looking for is if someone knowledgeable could possibly look over those packages and tell me definitively whether that list of packages would cause any issues running on a 1st version kindle. As the form factor is absolutely perfect for a terminal-based sound tracker. Then from there I may be able to work toward changing what it needs.

As far as getting a terminal to run on 1st ver. I guess that's altogether another beast, and I'm now thinking I may be out of luck unless I can swap in newer hardware from a DXG or other? Uncertain, but I do have a few more kindles of various types, It's just that 1st ver. has that slide on the side that looks to be absolutely perfect interface-wise.

TIA
