Edit Metadata - Select Display of Basic Columns
Hello,

"Look & feel" => "Edit metadata" allows to select custom columns to be displayed.
Is there a way to also select the basic columns?

No, you can't select the default columns.

You also couldn't rearrange the default columns when it was still a tweak, so I suspect there are either technical reasons or it's a deliberate design.

If you removed the ability in the MDE,
AND
Hid the column ... It would be near useless
Also, some columns (values) are mandatory and/or tie breakers when transferring

There is a third option for ediitng a column hidden in both MDE and book list: Action Chain's single-field edit, ask at runtime.

But that requires the user to have Action Chains plugin and to create a chain.
