Moving books from iPad to Calibre

Hi everyone,

Any help here would be much appreciated. As a reader of the Sunday Times, I usually take their free ebook each month. These are delivered promptly and go into my Kindle folder on my iPad. Also on my tablet are books accessed from my Calibre library (stored on the laptop) that I move around easily through Calibre Comapanion.

Is there a way to get all my books ito the one library? If there is, I can't find it.

Apple tries very hard to keep you in its walled garden. calibre used to be able to send and get books from idevices using a reverse engineered library, but apple broke that a few years back and I dont have the time/patience/interest to keep playing tag with them.
