Automatic sync Kobo Clara
I have had my Kobo Clara for several years now so this question is a bit late! I mainly sideload books from my laptop and keep wifi off but have kept automatic sync on all the time. I switch wifi on every month or so to perform a sync to get firmware updates. My question is will it save much battery if I turn off automatic sync then turn it on every now and then for firmware updates?

It would save battery if you did not sync until there actually is a new firmware available.

Check here to see if there is a new version before doing a sync.

Thanks very much for your reply. I look for a full sync about once a month and am up to date. I have switched of automatic sync and will see how the battery life goes.

I have book marked the link so I can check.
