Odd issue with gestures

I've set "corner tap" gestures to bring up book stats, book info and book map, and all work fine. I've also set "long press corner" gestures for screenshots, and they ONLY work if I'm in a book. To take a screenshot of the book map or stats etc, the only gesture that works is the diagonal swipe. Why is is this? The assigned gestures do a great job of screenshotting a page of whatever book I'm reading, but are resolutely dead if attempted elsewhere.

Just updating this to add that the problem has persisted through several sleeps and a power off reboot

It's a restriction in the code that also ties back to the user experience. Dialogs go over everything. Taking a screenshot is a fairly rare exception that makes sense no matter where you are but (almost?) nothing else even makes sense to do globally no matter which dialog you have open.

It seems at least plausible that long-press bottom left and bottom might be somewhat similar exceptions in the same way as long diagonal swipe doesn't get in the way of anything else, but then you might start seeing strange unpredictable inconsistencies on a per-dialog basis.
