Against the will of the heirs of Victor Hugo, two modern-day sequels to Victor Hugo's classic Les Miserables have been allowed by a French appeals court.

Public domain means anyone can do whatever they want with it

After two centuries, Victor Hugo had his due off of his creations

His heirs can start their own literary franchise with their own creative works...

On a completely different note, his house in Paris is a museum and it is really friggin cool.

Saw his grave in the Pantheon too

Damn I need to go back there.
