Can't load library after Reinstalling

I reinstalled Calibre, v.5.32 but my catalog won't load and is not recognized by the program. I do have an extensive catalog of over 25,000 books and want to be able to see them.

I'm running Windows 10. The Calibre directory of books is in: c:\Documents/Calibre. The program is on Drive C.

How do I get my catalog back?

calibre, version 5.32.0
ERROR: Not valid: The folder C:\Users\patet\Documents\Calibre is not valid: No exported data found in: C:\Users\patet\Documents\Calibre

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "calibre\gui2\dialogs\exim.py", line 263, in select_import_folder
File "calibre\utils\exim.py", line 260, in __init__
ValueError: No exported data found in: C:\Users\patet\Documents\Calibre

I hope someone can help.

Thanks.

Pat

If you have the button at the top named Library, right click on that, and select Switch/create library, then in the dialog box that pops up click on the little blue folder on the right and navigate to where your library is. Leave the first option checked, Use the previously existing library ...

That's how I do it, because I don't keep any personal stuff in c:\users\hobnail or c:\documents except settings and whatnot that apps create. (I put my personal stuff in \home\hobnail.) Then there's no need for me to worry about migrating my c:\users or c:\documents stuff when I upgrade or replace my system since I know to make a backup copy of \home before I do the upgrade/replace. Of course I lose all of my app settings, but whatever.
