Adding Access-Aide to Sigil does not work
Hi!
I try to add the Access-Aide plugin to Sigil, but it does not work. I get the error message: "Error: Plugin not a valid Sigil plugin" and the plugin is not installed. My system: win 11, chrome/Firefox, Sigil v2.5.2 The steps: • Download the file Access-Aide-master.zip from https://github.com/kevinhendricks/Access-Aide • In Sigil: Plugins / Manage plugins / Add Plugin and chose the zip-file. The button "Use bundled Python" is checked. • Then i get the error message I have tried to: • Unzip the file, place it directly into Sigils Plugins folder and restart Sigil • Download the file by both chrome and Firefox • Restart the computer • I already have the TagMechanic plugin, so some plugins is possible to install. What can I do now? The zip-file does look a bit odd - it includes the name of the branch - master and it is an extra level of folders inside. |

Download the latest version from the first post in this thread. This is the only right place – because this is a thread dedicated to the Access-Aide plugin.
On github there is not only the plugin, but also additional files, so the plugin source archive (with the word "master") is not recognized as a valid plugin. |

There isn't a zip archive inside a zip archive. You created that when you told github to create a zip of master. If you would have simply gone to the link BeckyEbook gave to you in the post in response to your question, you would have downloaded the plugin directly.
Or in the Access-Aide repo, look into the plugin folder to find the entire history of Access-Aide plugins to choose to download. |
