I've read many threads and still can't recognize at glance the right release for the Kindle Paperwhite 4:

But couldn't they write it directly on the download page? Every time it seems like you have to go on a treasure hunt...

I know what you mean. Early on I inferred “kindlepw2” was specific to the pw2. So I put the “kindle” version on my voyage. That caused some wonky problems. Luckily, I realized it must be the wrong version and dug deeper.

It is an aftermarket app for your already jailbroken kindle. You've already dig the hole, now get a metal detector and find the treasure

Per platform install instructions are in the wiki, where they belong. Each release contains changes of that specific release.

We're not going to add install instructions for each supported platforms on each release. That would be insane.

I mean, the filenames are not installation instructions, instead of being called

koreader-kindlepw2-v2021.12.1.zip

could it not be called for example

koreader-kindlepw2-and-on-v2021.12.1.zip

?
