Hello from an old Geek

Hey guys! I currently have my Kindle set up the way I want no problem. I set it up about 2 years ago. I bought my oldest daughter a Kindle fire 8 and for some reason I can not get it set up correctly. She has registered it and installed Calibre Companion on it. I have plugged up her Kindle to my Laptop and clicked on my Calibre.
It will not connect as a wireless device. I have tried everything I can think of. It is showing connected to my computer when I use the USB cable but It won't show any folders in the Kindle itself, just properties.
I have had it for 4 days working on it. Any help would be wonderful.
I'm an old guy and not very technically inclined. I am familiar though. Thanks!

I can see you already asked for help in the Fire subforum, which is the right move. I only have had eink Kindles and have no idea at all about the way the Fire tablets work.
