Notes: The latest version of the Sigil User Guide can always be downloaded from the Sigil website, or from its own GitHub repository. Three new e-Reader plugins for Sigil have been built to help users see what their ebook might look like in real e-readers while still inside Sigil. See this post for descriptions and links. Please check the Sigil website for important Sigil support links, additional resource downloads, and platform-specific trouble-shooting tips/requirements. Mac users should still download and install ActiveState’s ActiveTcl Community Edition to utilize plugins that use Tk/Tcl GUIs. More here. Mac users should also check out the website entry on the New Release File Format. PGP Fingerprint (for signed tags and source archives): Code:

Has the sigil team now abandoned support for 32 bit in these latest versions?

There is a Windows non-x64 installer present in the releases. Linux can still build Sigil from source for 32 bits. But macOS builds have been 64 bit only for years.

Are you not seeing the links to the 32-bit windows downloads on the Website release announcement and the GitHub release for the last versions?
There's no permanent link to the latest 32-bit version on the main website download page because there's not always going to be a 32-bit version for every release. But the links are included on the individual release announcements when there's 32-bit installers available. |

All y'all have been really busy with Sigil - it doesn't seem that long ago that we were "going live" with a version 1.0 release and now we're at 1.8!!
I've said it before, but you guys really are AWESOME!! ![]() |

Congratulations for the release! Running 1.7 here and it feels noticeable speedier than 1.5.
One question though. What's this "3 Automation lists" stuff? Add support for 3 Automation lists that support editing and automatically running a list of commands that can include all Sigil plugins and a limited set of Tools I found the discussion post, personally I've slightly used Microsoft's Power Automate Desktop so something similar just for Sigil? To add tools or plugins to an automation list, long-click one of the automation list icons and select Edit Automate List. |

The automate list also has its own chapter in the Sigil User Guide which was updated for Sigil-1.8 as well.

![]() My needs are pretty simple, so I didn't think I'd use Automate Lists, but after playing with it while working on the chapter, I find it is quite useful to me after all ![]() |

Hi,
I'm very new to Sigil and managed to install this latest version on MX linux. It was the first time I installed a program from source. So after this scary experience I was happy it kind of worked. However and sadly Sigil closes down very frequently. I need to save the work all the time or lose it. Of course I still have to learn how every things works. That is if it works and doesn't close too much on me. The buttons, for instance if you would want to insert a list. This does not work just by clicking on it. As you would expect the code would be inserted. It does nothing. You have to have the lines selected. If it's in a <p> then this paragraph will be mixed up by deleting the </p> and moving the <p> down, which make the page unreadable of course. Probably me not knowing how it works. So I have to look into users manual guide and figure out how these things actually work. All in all it looks like a promising editor. Thanks for this nice program. |
