Freading Download Problems
For the last three days, books downloaded from Freading will not load into Adobe due to the following error:

"Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:
E_ADEPT_USER_AUTH"

Are others having this problem or is this something wrong with my computer?

I’ve gotten similar ADE error messages in the past. You may have to deauthorize and reauthorize ADE on your computer. Though I’ve never been able to figure out what caused the problem, the deauthorize/reauthorize process always sorted it out.

I have experienced this problem after installing software that contains its own version of ADE, The Bibliotecha cloudLibrary app. The solution by Loosheesh fixed it but had to be done whenever switching between the two pieces of software, burning through the allowed activation count for my Adobe ID. If that happens you need to contact Adobe to have it reset.

I can download and load books into ADE from other libraries without any issues so I don't think authorization is the problem.

What version of ADE are ypu using? I had trouble using ADE with overdrive and cloudreader, and going to 4.5 solved my problems (it may had been a coincidence). I am also using freading.

This issue has magically fixed itself. I have no idea how or why. FLP had no suggestions and could not offer any support because Freading is a subscription service.

Books I had already downloaded are still not available, even with fresh downloads, but new ones are okay.
