Preferences/Conversion/Output Options

I've just updated from 3.48 to 5.34 and was looking through the various preference sections trying to remember what I'd done previously to get stuff sent to a Kindle to be sorted by last name, rather than first. I still haven't figured that out but, meanwhile, when I clicked on Preferences/Conversion/Output Options I got

NameError.name ‘unicode’ is not defined

NameError: name 'unicode' is not defined

I clicked ok to get out of it but after that, if I clicked on any other section of Preferences the screen that comes up looks like the new screen is superimposed on a leftover output options screen. Resarting Calibre clears it up but is there any way to access the output options screen should I ever need it?

Your KePub Output plugin is outdated.

And you installed a 32 bit version of Calibre (your system says it can do 64bit).
While this is valid, you can do more (complex) with 64bit Calibre

Thank you very much. That worked.

When I finally got all the stuff that I needed working ok I was so happy that I never touched it again. Getting a couple of new ereaders this year kind of forced me into it, which I guess is just as well.

Thank you. With my poor eyesight and small laptop screen zoom level I never even saw the 64 bit. I got as far as Windows and clicked on that. When the stress wears off I may try another update. Although I never even used most of the features of my 3.48 version. Mostly when I really need a particular feature I read the user guide and just try to find an example to copy. I'm a retired programmer but if it's newer than COBOL I'm pretty much out of my depth.
