Kindle line breaks and other formatting issues

Normally I do not use the Kindle app on my windows PC but recently I purchased several books via Amazon that are about the Ornish diet. The version on the PC is 1.17.1 (44183). Normally after I download a Kindle book I copy it to Calibre (5.33) and access it through Calibre. Once in Kindle, I often convert it to a PDF or another ePub format.

With the recent books I noticed several formatting issues such as line breaks missing or in the wrong place or lines of text out of order. Initially, I thought the issue was within Calibre so I viewed the book in the Kindle app and still saw the issues. At this time I suspected the version of Kindle so I installed the latest version on my laptop and again downloaded the books, still, I see the issue, thus I suspect an issue with the book itself.

I then sent an email to Amazon, this seems to have fallen into a black hole, as of this date I don't think I have received a reply from Amazon.

Any ideas as to how to get a response from Kindle.
Is there a special email address I should use?
Is there a phone number I can call?
Any suggestions on the formatting issue?

It s my understanding the forma and alignment of the ebooks is dependent on the publisher f tha ebook and not kindle or Amazon, unless Amazon is the publisher

That is what I suspected.
Bummer!!! I'll try to get a response from Kindle/Amazon, hopefully, they will have a solution other than offering a refund for the books.
