epub to pdf: Broken words

Hello,

After epub to pdf conversions, the resulting PDFs have broken words. It doesn't show visually, but selecting text and then pasting it somewhere else it looks like this:

"An other pos i tive ben e fit of pro vid ing an ar gu ment or of ask ing for an ar gu ment is that do ing so ex presses re spect for one’s au di ence."

This happens *always*, regardless of the source epub. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Kovid,

Thanks much for the quick reply. I unchecked the "Break long words at the end of lines" in the PDF output, it solved the issue, but since this needs to be a narrow document (wide margins) it really looks bad without hyphenation.

So, for now I have also installed calibre 3.48 which does not have this issue just for my epub to pdf conversions. Is this a good approach for the time being, or am I thinking about this all wrong?

I have 2 more questions for which I will create separate threads for. Thank you mate for all your hard work, I am a calibre newbie and I am really impressed by what you and the community have accomplished here.
