Can't convert from Kindle for PC 1.17.1

Good Day - I recently purchased a Kobo Libra 2. I did have to update Calibre to 5.30. Before I updated I was able to import Kindle books to Kobo, but now when I try to convert I get a popup that says This book is locked by DRM. Do I need to update a plugin or put in my credentials somewhere?

Everyting else works fine since I updated.

Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions that you can provide.

Trice

Yes. After I updated from Calibre 4.23 it stopped working, so I downgraded back.

The issue is the plugin you're using, which is not compatible with Calibre 5.x, so you need to upgrade it. (I assume you cannot downgrade, because it won't work with the Libra 2?)

Thank you so much. I really appreciate the reply. Do you happen to have a suggestion as to which plug in I should try?

I’ve been using Calibre for about 4 years but haven’t had to change anything, so I’ve forgotten to look for the plugins.

Thanks again for replying.

Given that it appears to be an issue with removing DRM, I's suggesting checking out Apprentice Alf’s Blog for discussion and help and Apprentice Harper's github site for downloads (see https://github.com/apprenticeharper/...ses/tag/v7.2.1 for the latest release version).

I think I've pushed the topic about as far as the rules on MobileRead will allow.

Thank you for the reply, that was next on my list to do. Like I said it’s be awhile since anything has broken. If he can’t help, it won’t be that great of a big deal as I can download the books to my Kindle, I just happen to like reading best on my Kobo.
