Hi everybody,

I just joined this community and am hoping some of you can help me learn to use my e-readers. I have been using Aldiko on a Samsung tablet for 6+ years and just got the Boyue P78 ereader in order to have an e-ink device for reading outdoors. I read about 5 books a week, so any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.

Aldiko question - Can anyone tell me if it is possible to do a search on my tablet's SD card for authors or titles with Aldiko? I have a huge ebook library and have had to break it down into very small files in order to search the SD card manually. This means I often lose books due to filing mistakes, and it takes forever to scroll through the subdirectories. I am hoping that Aldiko (or another ereader) can search the SD card for me, so I can load all my ebooks on the SD card in one file.

Boyue P78 questions - Is there any sort of manual or video for the P78? It came with almost no information. Has anyone here ever used the P78? I have never used a Kindle or Nook, so however it may resemble one of those in its operation does not help me. On line, I only found unboxing videos without much detail. The P78 is supposed to be able to play audiobooks and music, but I can't figure out how.
I also don't understand the multiple library set-up, and how to retrieve books from the SD card. Does it work like Aldiko and set up an internal (i.e. on the device, not on the SD card) bookshelf somewhere?
BTW - Despite all these questions, I love the P78! The display is crisp with adjustable day/night color settings that reduce my eyestrain, and compared to my tablet, P78's light weight is another plus.

Welcome to MobileRead. Not everyone reads the Introduce Yourself forum (at least, not in real time)

For actual questions, it's best to ask in the appropriate forum for the software of device the question is about.

So Aldiko questions, perhaps in Reading and Management since I don't think there's a forum about that particular software.

Boyue questions should go in the Boyue forum
