Pages left to end of chapter not really working.
After converting epub to kepub with calibre and opening the book on the kobo clara the pages left / percentage / time left to end of chapter all refer to the next image that is in the chapter and not to the end of it.

Only % vaguely makes sense. Pages only really work on PDFs (which are not real ebooks) or on paper. Images particularly mess up calculations.

The chapter pages in kepubs work accurately here. Or at least I have not seen any real issues. But, I am not reading books with images in them. Or, at least not in the middle of the chapter. Except that I have read a couple recently which had a small image for scene breaks.

It is probably the formatting. If the images are in separate files, this might cause the problem. Of if some reason they have been wrapped in heading tags. Without seeing the book, it would be hard to tell.

It could be a problem with the ToC and all the HTML/XML files are not in the ToC.

The issue is that a new file is used every time there is an image in this book and this doesn't work with kepubs but works with epubs for the percentage of the chapter.

Which means the book does not meet the Kobo's standards for kepubs (https://github.com/kobolabs/epub-spe...f-contents-toc). So, it is working correctly. The KoboTouchExtended driver makes no attempts to fix issues like this. It assumes the epubs are valid and ready to transform to kepub.
