Can I go from 4.21 straight to 5.28?

I'm finally ready to upgrade - can I jump straight from 4.21 to 5.28?

AFAIK Calibre will migrate anything needed.
Be aware that the 5.x upgrade will no longer be fully compatible with 4.x (DB changes) BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP your libraries Just in case

And yes, I'm actually backing up my libraries right now as I was waiting for a response

Once upgraded, some plugins will no longer work (they never got python code updated), Others will notify you in the lower corner, so be sure to do those.

Yup! Just backup your library and plugin; downgrading Calibre after upgrading the database will cause errors (mostly upon deleting book) and sometimes it's hard to get older plugin versions. Note that some incompatible plugins just silently deactivate themselves, so make sure everything's in order.

I'm now updated to the latest version and everything works great, including the DRM plugins, my biggest worry and main reason for delaying on the upgrade.
