Cool Kindle 1 Owners' Kindle Oasis Gift Box
Remember the 3G shutdowns and how I mentioned in the one thread that I got an email from Amazon saying they will mail me an Oasis and fabric case for it? Well the device finally came in and oh boy it's something alright! Unfortunately all the images don't wanna upload here.

It has been quite awhile since it has been able to connect to Amazon. I keep it charged up and do read a few pages on it occasionally. It is registered to my account.

But I bought it used for perhaps $25, and probably that would weaken my case considerably, should I feel inclined to prosecute it (which I don’t).

Well one, check your spam mail and sponsored or whatever mail (latter if in Gmail)
You have to have used it between January and June.
I got my Kindle 1 for $15 at a nearby Goodwill, and with it also got a $14 Kindle 4 Black and for $3 a black leather case for the Kindle 4.

Lol thank you! I actually am technically upgrading from a Paperwhite 3 as I was just using the Kindle 1 when I went out of town (due to my town not having cell coverage for 3G at all unless it was Verizon), hence why I was eligible. The battery doesn't last much longer then an hour on the K1.

You can replace the battery for about $20, and of course, it is the only Kindle designed to have a replaceable battery.
