Unwanted Indent on header issue

Hi, I am converting my docx to epub, it looks fine in calibre but when I check it in kindle for some reason the headers have indented.

This is some sample code from calibre showing the html generated for the header. Both the image and the header look fine in the preview window here
https://ibb.co/G7R6BtJ

but in kindle the indent is showing, the image and the header have both offset
https://ibb.co/9nZ3LHy

The css bits are here

Appreciate any help you can give. thanks in advance

To view the epub on your Kindle, you must convert it. What format did you convert it to? If to mobi, that's why your formatting is off. Convert it to azw3 (from epub).

I'd convert the DOCX to AZW3 (aka KF8) - if you need to do any post conversion edits you can use the calibre ebook-editor.

If you used DOCX styles in MS Word or LO Writer for headings, lists, etc you might not need to do any post conversion editing.

I find AZW3 works best if I convert DOCX to epub2, then convert epub2 to AZW3/KF8

I never need to edit the HTML or CSS of the books we edit in LO Writer (native ODT saves and an EXTRA docx Save As for Calibre). But we use paragraph styles.

Also we upload the SAME epub2 to Amazon, Smashwords (who send on to Apple, Kobo, Barnes & Noble and Scribd) and Google Books for Play Store.

We format the source book differently for paper and use direct PDF export from LO Writer (was MS Word till 2014). I can only see the point of Ingram Spark for paper versions.

The conversion that Amazon does from your EPUB to the various formats used by Kindles (KFX, KF8, MOBI, etc.) produces results that are a bit different from what you get when converting via calibre.

I recommend that you try your book out in Amazon's Kindle Previewer for a better idea of how it will actually appear on various Kindle apps and devices.

Hi, thanks for the help

I seem to have resolved it by playing around and putting the header line into a paragraph
so
<li id="id_Toc78976220" class="block_12"><span class="text_15">The Human Body</span></li>

becomes

<p li id="id_Toc78976220" class="block_12"><span class="text_15">The Human Body</span></li></p>

It then shows in Amazons kindle previewer correctly without the indent on the header
