Reading Progress A Bit Iffy
I have a kindle oasis which I bought a month ago, all is good. Except...The reading progress on each book changes constantly. 1 min it's time left in chapter, then loc, then time left in book. I prefer time left in chapter and I keep saving the "theme", but it makes no difference.
Any help? |

It will do it if you look through other books. It doesn’t remember book by book, it is always last set.

The data displayed will change if you tap the lower left corner of the screen. Perhaps the way you are holding it is triggering this.

Yep, tap the lower left corner of the screen to toggle thru the options. Your Oasis is working correctly.

Also, if the timing starts going astray, you can reset it to re-learn your reading speed. I'm not sure how this is done for an Oasis, but for a Paperwhite, do a search for
;ReadingTimeReset from within a book. Your kindle should show no results. Return to reading and your kindle will say "Learning Reading Speed". This will correct any errors which have crept in to the timings. I was given this information by some kind person on MR many moons ago, I forget who. I keep the info on my kindle. |
