Multi Access Library
Hello,
I have recently ruined my library. I was accesing it from a Windows client, and stored on a share on a NAS. (with COPS) I added a Docker version of calibre to access it remotely, but as the container is based on a Linux distribution, as soon as i made a change, it messed up with the case sensitive folder and doubled all of them ![]() Is there the way for Calibre to be able to ignore the system value and force it to be case insensitive ? |

Reading this forum, i found this link :
https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq...rked-drive-nas So I Guess I poked the devil doing what I did. I'm pretty sure I cannot embrace all the file system action handeled by Calibre. However, except that case sensitivity, and the simultaneous edition risk, is there any other issue hosting it directly on a NAS ? Usecase today are more and more detached from a single computer. i've got many at home, between works computer, personal, wife, tablettes 'n phones.... And it's a bit difficult to say I have to use this specific computer to edit my db. |

Right now I am using a USB drive to contain my library and transfer it between computers. (Also keeping a backup on one of them too)

Timing is critical and Calibre was not structured for Client/Server operations.
(anything that changes the File or folder naming is at risk from cache or delays) Consider using the Content Server for remote tasks. You can do some basic metadata (edit) tasks via that. |
