Quirks of CBZ/CBR format?

Hi. I just added a home-made CBZ file to Calibre, then converted to Mobi for use on my Kindle. The "cover" appears edge-to-edge on my Kindle screen, but all of the subsequent pages are reduced, with margins added. Is there a way to get every page to look as large as the cover does? Would that setting be in Calibre, or something in creating the archive originally (which really doesn't seem to have any options)?

You'd have to use kindle comic creator for that. As I recall comic conversion to mobi in calibre doesnt support comic specialization unlike kcc

Sorry to bug you all again, but the Comic Converter errors off because I don't have kindlegen. The link on the amazon site is 404, and when I google it, I get some pretty sketchy-looking malware sites. Can anybody point me to a valid download of kindlegen for Mac?

You could try installing Kindle Previewer 3 which installs a kindlegen executable during it's install.

Edit: Just tried installing KCC 5.2.2 and copied the kindlegen.exe from %APPDATALOCAL%Amazon\Kindle Previewer 3\lib\fc\bin to the KCC folder in Program Files and it seems to work.

OK, thanks. Translating that Windows method to Mac/unix, I can show package contents and extract the executable from the app. I'll give it a try.

Well, I'm stuck again. In order to install kindlegen, I had t install Home-brew first. It all seemed to go OK, but then when I followed the instructions to install kindlegen, I get the error:

Error: Cask 'kindlegen' is unavailable: No Cask with this name exists.

I did enter the brew command from inside the same directory where I moved kindlegen. Is is supposed to go somewhere else? There was no /usr/local/Homebrew directory created, should there be one?

What am I doing wrong?
