Unable to extract cover from DJVU format

In the Edit Medadata I can not get the "Set the cover of the book from the selected format" button to work on some books I have in DJVU format. It seems to work fine for any other format.

Is extracting the cover from DJVU books supposed to work?

I dont think reading of *any* metadatata, including covers is supported for djvu.

Thanks, I wanted to confirm if it was meant to work before I went ahead and wrote a script to update the covers of all my djvu books. It would be good is calibre supported this as it is trivial to do if you use the ddjvu executable. I don't care about the metadata as I find the metadata in djvu files (which are mostly scanned books) to be unreliable.
