Troubleshooting Kindle Collections Help

I've been using Calibre for a while now to put books on both my wifes and my kindle via usb. This is all fine but for some reason my wife has a problem with one of her collections.

She makes collections on the kindle (10th Gen) and then adds the books to the collection, this also happened on her previous kindle paperwhite. The problem she has is that there's one author that continuously dumps the books back out of the collection a couple of days after they have been added. No other collection does this and I can't figure out why. I've tried removing the books and re-adding them, changing the collection name but it still happens. Screen is on Downloaded with no filter and sort by list/collection.

Anyone come across this before?

I haven't come across this issue before, but it might help if your wife switched off the wifi and put her kindle in aeroplane mode. Then there's no way that anything could interfere with which books she puts in Collections.
