Kindle Library "Personal Letter" Keeps Downloading

Whenever I return a library book, a personal letter document is downloaded to my Kindle, letting me know that I have returned the book. I've always just removed the document right away. With this Kindle (Paperwhite wifi), the personal letter re-downloads over and over again. I have removed the same document over a dozen times.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of this? It's never happened with my previous Kindles.

I get a letter for each book. Are you saying that you keep getting a letter for the same book?

Yes. I remove the letter, and it re-downloads the same letter.

How long of a time period? That is, is it happening today, or has it been happening for several days? I imagine it could be a temporary network fluke. I just deleted a letter on mine, synced, and it has not re-downloaded.

It's been going on for a few days now. I don't remember if it's been since I've had this new Kindle. I know it's never happened to me before with previous Kindles or with my iPad that I also read with.

I've not come across this phenomena yet... Try Kindle CS.

I have the same problem. I get a white one with K and a black one. I call them 'ghost' books. I do the long press and receive the words Hide and Remove Download. Press and they disappear,but reappear the next time I open the Home section.

Consider going to Manage Content & Devices (your Account pages on amazon) and removing the book there.
