Kobo Store - need help deciding
Should I buy book two of a series as a standalone, or should I buy the boxed set 1-3 at a smidgeon less than one-sixth of the price being charged for book two on its own?

The box set, I have done this several times even if already own the other books.

Use the epubsplit plugin to split the set up.

Yes, it wasn't the most challenging decision I've ever had to make, that's for sure. I'm not going to bother splitting it as I had not started on the series yet, so may as well read all three. With a unique ISBN for the boxset, it will boost my page-per-book count at The StoryGraph.

I always buy the boxed set if the cost of the books i don't have exceeds the price of the box set.

— I've run into these box set deals also. I think one of the Robin Hobb series sold for $3.98 (or $4.98?) and each of the books in the series were about $12.
