Reverse sort
I have a Clara HD. Unless I am missing something, there doesn't seem to be any way to do a reverse sort of your ebooks. For example, if I select "unread" and "by size", I always get the largest ebooks first. I'd like the smallest listed first.

Did I miss something obvious?

BTW, I did just install the latest firmware. No difference.

No, you there is no way to reverse the sort. But, you can scroll backwards from the first page to the last page. And while the arrow doesn't show at the top of the scrollbar when you are on the first page, tapping it does scroll "up" to the last page.

Yes, that is exactly what I want to happen. I tried, but it's not implemented.

And as for complicating things, having to scroll all the way to the bottom with over 4000 ebooks is much more complicated and time consuming than a simple double-tap to reverse sort. And before someone tells me I don't need that many ebooks loaded, I'm away from home for months at a time, so I take all my ebooks. I don't always know what I want to read.

You don't have to. Simply tap the lowest point of the scroll bar (the bottom of the line, not the arrow). You will jump to the last page of the list. Then use the up arrow to move one page at a time through the list.

Isn't the current interface more complicated without it?

It seems to me the standard is to be able to sort both ways, so first I need to try it to see if it actually changes the order. It isn't greyed out and it is in italics in the drop down menu, so it must do something when you pick it? And with the picky touch screens, I may need to try it several times to make sure it didn't miss the tap.

And since it isn't greyed out and is in italics, I now need to contact tech support to see if this is a bug or a feature.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to suggest that.

So, how do you know which direction it is sorted? And if I change to a different sort, which does it use? And if I am in the middle of the list and change the direction, which page gets displayed?

These are complicating the interface. The complication might not always be visible, but, there are complications in how to use it.

My opinion, and that is all it is, my opinion, is that it isn't needed. Because the lists all wrap, it is easy to get to the other end and see what it there. And what you suggest needs two taps and what I suggest is either a swipe or one tap.
