Question about save template

Currently my save template is
{#kobopath}/{author_sort}/{title} - {authors}

#kobopath is a composite column. If I modify the template to output a result with a forward-slash, will that create new sub-folders?

Yes. Plus a few random characters to make the message long enough.

It should work as is. Somewhere in the code path for sending a book it will normalize the path for the OS being used. This will change forward or back slashes to whatever is used as the directory separator. And if you use back slashes, you will probably need to escape them.

One other item to be aware of when using a possibly variable length item in the path, is that you can end up with the path/filename being too long and calibre will start truncating.
