Device: Onyx Boox Note
Battery Size of Official Refurb Units

I started out with a new Boox Note some time in 2019, then last year decided to upgrade to a refurb Note Pro for the back light and flush screen upon finding them for sale from the official ebay seller (onyxofficialstore, since renamed to booxofficialstore).

Ever since the first day, I've felt that the battery life on the Note Pro was quite a bit shorter than my Note. In fact, it tends to drain very quickly 100-80%. I thought nothing of it, chalked it up to my possible change in usage because of the back light, and maybe because the voltage calibration isn't quite right.

Today, out of boredom and to fix the slight hitch in my power button, I removed the back case. Apparently they didn't put in the standard 4100mAh battery that Notes come with.

Measurements of the Note 4100mAh battery: 158x85x2.5(?)mm.

Measurements of the one in my Note Pro: 146x74x2.5(?)mm.

Turns out this battery they slapped in to my refurb unit is 80% the size of the original.

In other news: I'm taking bribery in terms of certain Note Pro parts and maybe some je ne sais quois.

Note battery.
Spoiler:

Refurb Note Pro battery. Notice that the top doesn't go to where the PCB starts, or that the left doesn't go to the divider.
Spoiler:

Left: Note battery. Right: refurb Note Pro battery.
