Conversion Question re Length of book name

Have an epub called Santa Montefiore - [Deverill 02] - Daughters of Castle Deverill.epub

Want to convert it to a Kindle version (azw3) called DC03-The Last Secret of the Deverills-2017, with the name of Santa Montefiore as the author.

What I put into Calibre as the name is DC03-The Last Secret of the Deverills-2017 and convert it to azw3, but what I get is a book called DC03-The Last Secret of the Dev - Santa Montefiore.azw3.

The book name appears to be limited to 31 characters and anything beyond that is truncated.

Is there a setting within Calibre that I need to change to allow for longer book names?

file names have length limits (calibre adjusts the names to keep them valid)
BUT
Kindles use internal metadata for their displays. The Metadata plugboard can be used to stuff non-kindle standard metadata into the field.
eg
{series_index}-{title} --> Title
