Calibre (when plugged into Kindle Oasis) shows ebooks that are supposed to be on my Kindle, but I don't see them.
Also, in Windows' File Explorer, I see lots of ebooks and documents that are supposed to be on the Kindle, but I can't find them anywhere on the device. How do I get an accurate list of titles on my Kindle and why does Calibre and File Explorer show all these titles as being on the device? |

Because they are on your kindle. That they dont show up in your kindle's screen just means either that, you are looking in the wrong place, or that the kindle's indexer has crashed and failed to index all books on th ekindle. A Kindle reset will fix that.

What firmware revision are you using? If you do a search for a garbage string on your Kindle, does it show any books as still indexing? If Text in books is highlighted after the search, tap it and it will show how many books are not indexed, tap that number to get a list of books that are not indexed. Have you tried resetting your Kindle? To me, this is an issue with your Kindle and nothing to do with calibre or Windows File Explorer so you might have been better off asking in the Amazon Kindle forum. |

I did a complete reset of the Kindle, wiping everything. Then I transferred some books from my Calibre library to the Kindle. Again, some of the books (mostly epubs) show up in the Windows directory as being on the Kindle device. I do not understand why they aren't showing up on the Kindle, even under Documents. |

You may have mis-configured the device driver to indicate EPUB was supported With the device CONNECTED, configure the send to device properties (right click the icon). (once used, a updated COPY is saved in the configuration folder and changes (as in many parts ) in Calibre Preferences do not update those) ![]() The files will be similar to Code:
device_drivers_KINDLE2.py and device_drivers_KINDLE2.py.json |

Thank you so very much! After converting to AZW3, the books now appear. Lesson learned.
