Single Calibre library for two computers - how to?
I use Calibre Labrary on my home PC and this library is synchronized with MegaSync cloud. In my laptop I use the same library synchronized with the same MegaSync. But there is a problem. I added new books in the library on my home PC, they are synchronized with MegaSync. On the laptop new books appear in Calibre library but Calibre does not show them! The files: metadata.db, metadata_pre_restore.db, metadata_db_prefs_backup.json are synchronized also. I started Calibre Library -> Verify library and appears problem - additional names. They are all new books. How do I fix this problem? How can I add new books to the list of books on laptop? I think it must be made automatically.

Never run Calibre on both computers at the same time. Never sync while Calibre is open.
Those two principles are all-important for running Calibre on multiple computers against the same library. Basically pause syncing, open Calibre, do whatever you need to do with your library, close Calibre, resume syncing. Then on the other computer sync, pause syncing, open Calibre etc. Still, it's very easy to cause library corruption by running Calibre on multiple computers, so check your library often. |

Thank you very much. I just verified - it works. The solution to the problem for me is very easy. I switched off the synchronization of the Calibre Library folder (it is easy I'm daemon Mega) on all computers. After working with Calibre and changing the library I switch on this folder and make synchronization. In other computers, I have to make synchronization before starting Calibre. Thank you once more. Due to this problem, I thought about changing the program to manage my library.
