Having tags acting as folders

Hello all,

In some situations, I would like to be able to "move" a book from a tag to another, as if tags were folders.
For example, I have some books showing when I click on a "Science-fiction" tag on the left and would like to be able to drag (move) them on the "Horror" tag (still on the left side).
If I do that, I will get both tags attached to the books while I would like to have only the "Horror" tag.
I tried some keys while dragging (shift, ctrl, alt, etc.) but it doesn't change anything

Is there an easy way to do that?
Thank you!

No not really. how would calibre know which tag to remove when dropping on to the tag to be added? The best you can do is right click on the tag in the tag browser and remove it from selected books, the right click on the tag to add and add it to selected books.

Not that I know of, but I don't use the Tag Browser much, and I don't like DnD operations.

Have you tried using the Tag Editor, you can get into it by pressing Shift F2 on a Tag cell in the book list, viz:

Click the blue buttons in the middle to Apply/Unapply

Thank you for your answer.
In my case, I would like Calibre to remove all the existing tags and keep only the one I am dragging it to.
But I didn't know about the right click on tags feature you are speaking about.
It may help, thank you!
